COMMONLY ASKED QUESTIONS
"What are your opening hours?".
8-11am or 4-6pm

These hours are not a guide; we do not accept clients out of our opening hours.
"Out of hour" fees will be applied.
"Can I bring my own belongings/food/treats"?
You are welcome to bring your own food and treats but it is not required, nor does it decrease the cost of the booking price.
You are welcome to bring your own belongings such as blankets/soft beds that are sensibly sized, toys, jackets etc. However, we supply all of these things.

We charge per day. This means from day of drop off, to day of pick up. If you choose to drop off in the afternoon or pick up in the morning you will still be charged for that day as that is a decision made by yourself.
"My dog/cat is on medication, is this a problem"?
No; we are happy to administer any sort of medication your pet may require at no added cost.

Dogs that are NOT suited for Yanco Pet Retreat
Please check if any of these apply to your dog before booking, as we WILL ask people to come retrieve their pets if felt necessary.
Dog and/or people aggression
For the safety of staff, the safety and comfort of other dogs and the safety of your own dog, we do not allow aggression of any sort or extreme dog reactivity to the point of making other dogs feel stressed or uncomfortable.
Extreme separation anxiety
At Yanco Pet Retreat, we want dogs to feel safe, comfortable and secure in their environment; if we believe a dog is struggling whilst in our care, we always prefer to be open and honest with owners so they can find a better more comfortable solution for their pet. Dogs with severe cases of anxiety can go on to develop other behavioral issues such as fear aggression, excessive barking/howling, not eating or drinking which can lead to health issues, destructive behavior or trying to escape which could lead to possible injury etc.
Excessive destructive behavior
At Yanco Pet Retreat, we understand that digging and chewing are very natural dog behaviors. We do our best to stimulate the mind, distract or eliminate the temptation altogether. However, we do not tolerate extreme cases of destruction such as but not limited to- damage of infrastructure and property being doors, door frames, walls, food and water bowls, destructive digging, damage to fencing etc.
